WAVERLY, Iowa-- The No. 16/18 Wartburg women's basketball team (17-3 overall, 10-1 American Rivers) travel to face Simpson (16-3, 8-2) Thursday at 6 p.m. The Knights are in first place in the A-R-C standings, and the Storm are tied for third. Both teams enter the night on a six-game winning streak.

The Series
Simpson leads the all-time series at 49-35, but the Knights have won the last eight-straight, which dates back to the 2014-15 season. The Orange and Black won the first meeting of the season, 83-69 on Nov. 28 in Waverly.
Wartburg
Senior Adrienne Boettger (Cedar Falls) leads the team with 13.4 PPG and junior Emma Gerdes (Cedar Falls) follows at 11.4 PPG. Gerdes has a team-best 5.7 rebounds/game and 91 assists.
Boettger has a team-best .711 field goal percentage, while junior Amanda Brainerd (DeWitt) leads the team from beyond the arc (.429) and from the free throw line (.837).
Simpson
Jenna Taylor and Cameron Kincaid lead the team with 17.8 and 10.6 PPG, respectively. Taylor nearly averages a double-double with 8.1 rebounds/game.

Wartburg leads the conference in scoring margin (20.7), and free throw percentage (.781).
