LILBURN, Ga. - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) released its 2019-20 opening NCAA Division III Top 25 Coaches' Poll on Thursday, Oct. 31, with Wartburg ranked No. 3. with 160 total points.
The Knights, coming off a 27-4 record last season in which they reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, received one first place vote to rank third of 25 teams ranked, the highest preseason ranking in program history. Wartburg reached a ranking of No. 2 during the 2017-18 season.
Ranked first in the American Rivers Conference Preseason Poll, Wartburg opens the 2019-20 season Nov. 15-16 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire classic, slated to face UW-La Crosse and UW-Eau Claire.
