Wartburg Travels to Face Benedictine, Hosts Augsburg

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's lacrosse team (2-3 overall, 1-1 MWLC) travels to face Benedictine (0-5, 0-4) Saturday at 1 p.m and hosts Augsburg (2-2, 2-0) Sunday at 1 p.m. The Auggies are tied for first in the conference standings. The Knights are tied for seventh and the Eagles are 14th.

The Series
Benedictine leads the all-time series at 3-1, though the Knights won last year's meeting, 13-5. The Auggies have claimed all four meetings.

Wartburg
Junior Alex Pollock (Chaska, Minn.) leads the team with 13 goals and sophomore Bri Greiskalns (Oakdale, Minn.) follows with 11. Senior Ashlyn Jelinek (Stillwater, Minn.) has a team-best five assists. Pollock is second with four assists for a team-high 17 points.

Career Record Watch
Jelinek and Pollock are tied for second with 71 career goals. Greiskalns ranks sixth with 55.

Jelinek also ranks second in assists (18) and Greiskalns is fourth (15) and Pollock is fifth (14).

Jelinek ranks second in points (87), Pollock is third (85) and Greiskalns is seventh (70).

Jelinek is the career leader in free position goals (16).

Junior Laura Sinkovitz (York, Pa.) ranks second in saves (285) and is the career leader in wins (13).

Benedictine
Victoria House leads the Eagles with 11 goals. Madison Horan and Samantha Tikalsky follow with nine each.

Augsburg
Allie Tuccitto is the leading scorer with nine goals. Megan Furlong follows with seven.

Against the Conference
Sinkovitz ranks seventh among all MWLC goalies in saves.
