Knights Defeat Fighting Scots

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's lacrosse team (4-4 overall, 3-2 MWLC) defeated Monmouth (4-5, 2-4) 13-6 Saturday afternoon.



The Knights took the early 1-0 lead less than a minute into the game as junior Alex Pollock (Chaska, Minn.) scored her first of four goals on the day.

The Orange and Black took the 5-3 lead into halftime and continued to add to their margin in the second half.

Senior Ashlyn Jelinek (Stillwater, Minn.) surpassed the 100 career point mark with her second of three goals. She is just the second player in program history to reach this mark.
