Lacrosse Travels to Face Concordia Wisconsin, Beloit

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's lacrosse team (4-5 overall, 3-3 MWLC) travels to face Concordia Wisconsin (4-5, 4-1) Saturday at 1 p.m. and Beloit (4-4, 3-3) Sunday at 2 p.m. The Falcons are fourth in the conference standings, the Knights and the Bucaneers are tied for seventh.

The Series
Concordia Wisconson owns the all-time series lead at 4-0, and last year's game went into overtime.. The Bucaneers own the series at 3-1, but the Knights were victorious last year.

Wartburg
Sophomore Bri Greiskalns (Oakdale, Minn.) leads the team with 24 goals and junior Alex Pollock (Chaska, Minn.) has 23, and senior Ashlyn Jelinek (Stillwater, Minn.) follows with 21. Jelinek has a team-best eight assists and Greiskalns leads the team with 30 points.

Career Record Watch
Jelinek is second with 83 career goals. Pollock is third (81) and Greiskalns is fourth (68).

Jelinek also ranks second in assists (21) and Greiskalns is fourth (19) and Pollock is fifth (14).

Jelinek ranks second in points (104), Pollock is third (95) and Greiskalns is fourth (87).

Jelinek is the career leader in free position goals (20).

Junior Laura Sinkovitz (York, Pa.) is the career leader in saves (308) and wins (15).

Single Season Leaders
Jelinek is tied for sixth in assists (8) and tied for third in free-position goals (6).

Greiskalns is tied for ninth in goals (24) and tied for eighth in assists (6) and Pollock is tied for 10th in assists (23).

Sinkovitz is fifth in saves (78).

National Stat Rankings
Wartburg ranks in the top 100 of three statistical categories, which the NCAA released Monday.
 
The Knights rank 75th in shot percentage (.462) and in draw controls per game (13.88), and 90th in free position percentage (.433).
 
Individually, two Knights rank in the top 100 of three statistical categories: Jelinek ranks 13th in free position percentage (.75), and Greiskalns ranks 13th in draw controls per game (8.14) and 99th in caused turnovers per game (2.29).

Concordia Wisconsin
The Falcons host Northwestern-St. Paul Friday before hosting the Knights Saturday.

Beloit
The Bucaneers travel to face Cornell Thursday and will host Loras Saturday.
