- Last season the Knights won both matches over the Kohawks, winning 89-65 and 70-47
- Wartburg hosted Coe in the IIAC quarterfinals where the Kohawks took a 66-60 victory to advance to the semifinals during the 2015-16 season

Coe
- The Kohawks lead the A-R-C in defensive scoring with 875 points and an average of 58.3 points per game
- Sophomore Jackie Feldt is ranked in the top 10 for conference scoring with 198 points and an average of 13.2 per game, 89 rebounds with an average of 5.9 and has tallied 39 assists.
- Coe suffered its first conference loss to Luther, falling 78-54 to the Norse

Payton Draper each notched a career-high 20 points, contributing to Wartburg's 80-69 victory. Nine other Knights scored with 27 points coming from the bench. Wartburg was 26-of-59 in field goal shooting and was 20-29 at the free throw line. The Orange and Black tallied 36 total rebounds, 14 steals and one block by Draper.
