CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The Wartburg men's track & field team competed at the Jack Jennett Invitational at the UNI Dome at the University of Northern Iowa on Friday, Jan. 24.
The Wartburg distance runners ran well, headlined by a first place finish in the mile from
Ryan Dalton. He crossed the finish line at 4:31.65, trailed close behind by
Ali Ali 4:31.77.
In the 3,000-meter run, the Knights also placed runners in fourth in fifth place;
Noah Worthington and
Michael Schmitz, respectively.
Wartburg's 'B' 4x400-meter relay squad of
Nick Henry,
Callum Brittain,
Jacob VanderWilt, and
Sam Madson placed fifth with a time of 3:42.71.
Max Goodhue led the Wartburg jumpers, with a sixth place 21'8'' long jump along with a fourth place 43'2.5'' triple jump.
Wartburg next heads to Davenport, Iowa, tomorrow to compete in the St. Ambrose Invitational.
