NEW ORLEANS---National coaches and athletes of the year have been announced by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as announced on Wednesday.
Wartburg's
Ryan Chapman was named National Men's Assistant Coach of the Year.

Chapman saw his athletes score 14 points at the NCAA Division III Championships, including the razor-thin margin in the 3000-meter Steeplechase by
Christopher Collet.
Joe Freiburger fifth in fifth place in the men's 5000. During American Rivers Conference Outdoor Championships, Chapman's distance runners collected 84 points and set two meet records.

Member coaches voted on these honors following the conclusion of the NCAA Division III Championships but performances during the regular season and post season were considered.
