GENEVA, OH—Receiving the first medal for the Wartburg Knights Track and Field program,
Shaelyn Hostager took home seventh place in the women's 10K. Hostager clocked in at 36:11.02.
Six members of the Wartburg Track and Field squad have qualified for the finals at the NCAA Division III National Championships after Day 1.
Looking to defend her title from 2021,
Aubrie Fisher had the top time in the preliminary section of the 3000-Meter Steeplechase. Fisher led all racers with a time of 10:40.10.
Ellie Meyer qualified in the event, taking fifth overall with a time of 10:48.75.
Dallas Wright took the top-spot in the preliminary section of the 400 Hurdles, qualifying with a time of 52.26.
A pair of Knights will compete in the 3000-Meter Steeplechase.
Christopher Collet had the second fastest qualifying time at 9:07.79.
Connor Lancial qualified with a time of 9:07.53, moving up in the All-Time Record Book to land at No. 4.
The men's 4x400 relay qualified with a time of 3:14.11, taking sixth place in the preliminary section. The squad comprised of
Deyton Love, Wright,
Mohamed Temsah, and
Wyatt Schmidt.
Love competed in the 400 Hurdles, timing in at 53.10.
Carson McSorley competed in the 400 Hurdles, clocking in at 1:03.56.
In the 4x100 relay, the Knights squad of
Sean Henson, Love, Wright, and
Riley Nolan clocked in at 40.97.

Jackie Ganshirt, and
Aricka Lambson ran a combined 3:52.93 in the women's 4x400 relay.
Brenna Jacobs competed in the women's javelin, recording a mark of 31.02m.
