DAVENPORT, Iowa - The Wartburg men's track & field team totaled 39 points to place eighth of 16 teams during the Saint Ambrose University Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 25.
Six Knights recorded points for Wartburg in respective events.
Senior sprinter
Denison Harrington scored points for the Orange & Black in a pair of events. Harrington took sixth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.12, and took eighth in the 200-meter dash at 23.16.
A pair of Knights earned runner-up finishes. In the 1,000-meter run,
Wyatt Schmidt took second with a time of 2:36.79, while
Dallas Wright cracked the Wartburg Indoor Top 10 list in the 400-meter run with a time of 49.41.
Grant Olson and
Ryan Bonthius also scored points in the 1K with times of 2:41.92 and 2:42.14, respectively.
In the 600-meter run, Wartburg's
Nick Kennicker notched four points with a fifth place time of 1:25.74.
Devante Pearson contributed six points in the high jump with a mark of 6-1.25.
