WAVERLY, Iowa - The Wartburg men's and women's track teams finished up the second day of the Wartburg Indoor Select Meet. Both teams won, with men finishing first out of seven teams and earning 253 points. The women finished first out of six teams with 318 points.
Men
The team earned first place finishes in five events. The Orange and Black took first in and second place in the 60m dash. Senior
Denison Harrington won with a time of 7.03 and was followed by junior
Dallas Wright who ran 7.05, respectively.
The Orange and Black took first through third place in the 800m dash with sophomore
Wyatt Schmidt took first with a time of 1:57.49. Junior
Sam Madson followed in second place with a time of 1:58.78. Junior
Frosty Lorimer finished in the top three coming in with a time of 1:59.37.
The Knights took first through fourth in the 3000m run and had four other runners place in the top 10. Junior
Joe Freiburger led the pack with a time of 8:31.43. Sophomores Alex Ille and
Dalton Martin and senior
Caleb Appleton took second through fourth place with times of 8:38.55, 8:42.38 and 8:44.88, respectively.
Sophomore
Morgan Shirley-Fairbairn won the 5000m dash with a time of 15:23.61. Sophomore
Andrew Ellison and juniors
Jordan Yessak and
Spencer Warehime came in second through fourth place with times of 15:46.73, 16:11.93 and 16:23.95, respectively.

Senior
Devante Pearson took the fifth first place with 2.00 m in the high jump.
Harrington took second place in the 200m dash with a time of 22.67, earning eight points for the team. Junior
Ali Ali took third in the mile with a time of 4:26.85, respectively.
Women
The women's team took first place in 12 events.
Wartburg took first through third in the 60m and 800m dash. Sophomore

Freshman Annie Mast tallied 10 points for the team taking first in the 600m with a time of 1:45.53.
The Orange and Black took the top five finishes in the 60m hurdles. Senior

Freshman Aubrie Fisher and junior Corina Collet took first and second place in the 3000m run with times of 10:09.95 and 10:10.17, respectively.
Wartburg took first place in the 4x4 relay. Junior
Jaderial Staebler, McSorley, and seniors Bri Dellamuth and
Erica Rittgers won with a time of 3:58.76.
In field events, freshman Breya Christopher won the high jump with 1.63m. Freshman Isabelle Albers won the pole vault with 3.07m. Sophomore
Cherisse Ward won the triple jump with a length of 11.10m. Senior
Anna Rehberg took first in shot put and weight throw with 13.47m and 17.26m.
The Orange and Black also took the top three finishes in long jump. Ward won overall with a length of 5.49m. Muhammad and Staebler followed with lengths of 5.29m and 5.27m.
Staebler took second place in the 200m dash with a time of 27.13. Muhammad took second in 400m dash coming in with a time of 1:03.37, respectively.
In the mile, the Knights earned 19 points after junior

Riley Mayer and freshman Ashley Bloomquist took places second through fourth with times of 5:20.66, 5:27.81 and 5:31.49, respectively.
