No. 14/20 Women's Basketball Set to Face Central

WAVERLY, Iowa—Ending a two-week layoff, the No. 14/20 Wartburg Knights women's basketball squad (8-2, 2-1 A-R-C) returns to American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) action on January 5 as the Knights travel to the Central College Dutch (2-6, 1-2 A-R-C).
 
The Knights hold a 62-24 series lead over the Dutch. The Knights have not dropped a contest to the Dutch since February 18, 2012, an overtime loss at Central.

Last Time Out
 
The Knights dropped a game against the University of the Redlands in California prior to the holiday break. A late comeback by the No. 13/14 Wartburg Knights women's basketball team fell short as the University of the Redlands Bulldogs posted a 72-65 victory over the Knights. Murphy led the Knights in scoring with 27 points.
 
The Knights posted a 70-60 victory over the Chapman University Panthers on the first day of a two-game road trip for the Knights. Harris matched a career-high 16 points as the No. 13/14 Wartburg Knights women's basketball squad built on a strong first quarter.
