DES MOINES, Iowa/INDIANOLA, Iowa— A busy day for the nationally ranked Wartburg Track and Field squads as action was underway at the Drake Relays and Kip Janvrin Open.
The Knights claimed 11 finished inside the Top-10, led by
Dallas Wright's third place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the Drake Relays.
Drake Relays
- Wright joined a trio of Division I racers in the 400-meter hurdles, taking third place and setting a new season best with a time of 50.88. Wright also led the Knights in the 110 hurdles, clocking in at 14.98.
- Deyton Love saw action in the 110 hurdles, clocking in at 15.12 for a Top-20 time.
- Breya Christopher finished in 12th place in the women's high jump, recording a mark of 1.73m.
- The Knights had two relays squad qualify for the finals, which will take place on Saturday, April 30. The Knights men's 4x100 relay squad of Sean Henson, Love, Wright, and Riley Nolan clocked in at 41.59 to qualify and take seventh place in the preliminary round. Carson McSorley, Brenna Jacobs, Rachel Nagel, and Jackie Ganshirt qualified in the women's 4x400 relay with a time of 3:49.82.
- Ganshirt, Jacobs, and McSorley teamed up with Mikala Sidney for a ninth-place finish in the women's 4x100 relay. Wyatt Schmdit, Mohammed Temsah, Love, and Zach Abbey grabbed a Top-15 finish in the men's 4x400 relay at 3:16.48.

- Keegan Rich took fourth in the long jump, recording a mark of 6.89m.
- In the 3000-meter Steeplechase, Ellie Meyer finished in fourth-place with a time of 11:11.21. Moriah Morter took sixth in the event.
- Trent Allard took fourth in the high jump at 1.96m. Allard would compete in the men's triple jump, recording a mark of 12.50m.
- The 4x400 women's relay took sixth with a time of 4:15.55. The team was comprised of Erin Phelan, Alexis Brown, Brielle Ruch, and Annie Mast. The men's 4x400 relay also took sixth as Callum Brittain, Tryton Harper, Sam Madson, and Jacob VanderWilt clocked in at 3:32.85.
- Emma Houdek took eighth place in the triple jump at 10.77m. Houdek took 20th in the long jump at 4.81m.
- In the 100-meter hurdles, Sailor Hinegardner placed inside the Top-15 with a time of 15.71. On the men's side, Quinten Sommers led the way for the Knights in the 110 hurdles at 15.99.
- Jada Gaskill competed for the Knights in the 100-meter (13.20) and 200-meter (27.20) dashes.
- Jensen Clapp found a Top-15 time in the men's 400-meter dash, clocking in at 50.69.
- Jacob Kamara finished inside the Top-20 in the men's 100-meter dash, timing in at 11.11.
- Taylan Olson competed in the 400-meter dash for the Knights, timing in at 1:07.87.
- In distance races, Phelan led the Knights women in the 800-meter run (2:24.97) while Madson led the men in the same event (1:55.51). Brown led the Knights in the women's 1500-meter (4:50.65) for a Top-20 finish, while Jack Kinzer grabbed a Top-25 finish on the men's side (4:03.94).
- In the men's 3000-meter Steeplechase, Michael Goodenbour led the Knights with a time of 9:50.43.
- In Thursday's 5000-meter run, Addy Carlson led the Knights with a time of 18:39.07. Brandi Antonio led the Knights in the 5000-meter race on Friday evening, clocking in at 20:51.93.
- In the 5000-meter run on Thursday, Connor Lancial timed in at 15:07.33 for a Top-20 finish. Griffin Steiniger led the Knights in the race on Friday, clocking in at 16:44.44.
- In women's discuss, Tara Jochumsen placed inside the Top-30 at 33.70m.
- In men's discuss, Aizik Hodak led the Knights with a throw of 40.81m. Hodak led the Knights in the hammer throw at 41.20m.
- Grace McCartan led the Knights in the hammer throw, recording a mark of 39.14m.
- Brittany Lingenfelter led the Knights in the javelin, recording a mark of 25.88m. Payton Rochford led the men in the javelin at 35.62m.
- Kristen Reicks placed inside the Top-20 in the shot put at 11.55m, while Greason Trevino led the Knights on the men's side in shot put at 14.16m.
- Will Krapfl led the Knights in the 400-meter hurdles on the men's side, timing in at 57.47.
