DUBUQUE, Iowa— Claiming their 23rd conference title, the Wartburg Knights Track and Field squad scored 231 points on route to the title.
Aubrie Fisher and
Breya Christopher claimed individual championships in the 1500-meter and triple jump.
The Wartburg track and field staff were named Coaching Staff of the Year.
Women's Recap
- Fisher defended her title in the 1500-meter run, edging out Loras' Kassie Parker with a time of 4:37.26.
- Christopher claimed the title in the triple jump, recording a mark of 11.98m.
- The 4x100 relay squad of Jackie Ganshirt, Taylan Olson, Carson McSorley, and Mikala Sidney raced to a runner-up finish, timing in at 47.85.
- McSorley took runner-up honors in the 400-meter hurdles, timing in at 1:03.22.
- Fisher led a trio of Knights in the top-5 of the 5000-meter run, racing an 18:01.49. Riley Mayer (18:10.84) took third, while Shaelyn Hostager (18:12.64) and Natalie Paulson (18:20.80) placed for the Knights.
- Ganshirt, Rachel Nagel, McSorley, and Olson grabbed the second place finish in the 4x400 relay, racing a combined 3:54.15.
- Ellie Meyer claimed third place in the 1500, clocking in at 4:46.56. Lexi Brown (4:49.18) and Moriah Morter (4:50.76) placed inside the top-5 in the 1500.
- Ganshirt clocked in at 57.62 in the 400-meter dash, claiming third place. Olson and Nagel placed in the event, with times of 59.94 and 59.60.
- Sidney claimed a fourth place finish in the 100-meter dash, timing in at 12.58.
- Sailor Hinegarder timed in at 15.23 as Aricka Lambson clocked in at 15.44 in the 100 hurdles.
- Jenna Morey led the Knights in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.58. Lexi Brown (2:21.19) and Brielle Ruch (2:22.73) placed in the event.
- Lambson took fourth in the 400-meter hurdles, timing in at 1:05.58.
- Ganshirt led the Knights in the 200-meter dash, running a 25.41. Sidney was the second Knight to compete in the event, clocking in at 25.81.
- Daekota Knott (11.64m) and Shaniah Johnson (11.31m) placed for the Knights in the triple jump.
- Brenna Jacobs took sixth place in the javelin, throwing a 36.30m.
- Belle Albers claimed a top-8 finish in the pole vault, recording a mark of 3.00m.
- Haley Beminio placed in the top-8 in the hammer throw, recording a mark of 45.05m.
The Knights return to action at the NCAA last chance qualifiers next week ahead of the 2022 NCAA National Championships.
