NEW ORLEANS—Following top performances at the American Rivers Conference Outdoor Championships, the Wartburg Knights Track & Field programs have jumped in the latest rankings from the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll.
Making a ten-spot leap, the Knights men sit at No. 3 in the nation. The Knights added or improved to six national Top-10 marks over the weekend.
Deyton Love (No. 2 in the 110 hurdles and No. 5 in the 400-meter hurdles),
Dallas Wright (No. 2 in the 400 and No. 6 in the 200), and the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
Joe Freiburger,
Christopher Collet, and
Connor Lancial have Top-20 marks in the nation.
The Knights women jump out two spots, landing at No. 6. The Knights women won their 23rd Outdoor A-R-C Championships with top finishes from
Aubrie Fisher,
Breya Christopher, and nine second-place finishes.
Jackie Ganshirt, Fisher, Christopher,
Carson McSorley,
Riley Mayer,
Daekota Knott,
Shaelyn Hostager, and
Ellie Meyer have Top-20 spots in the nation.
The Knights will compete at the Augustana Midwest Twilight Last Chance Qualifier for the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Augustana qualifier will be run on May 19 with live
results and
video stream available.
