CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa—Sweeping the American Rivers Conference Softball honors, Lauren Frerichs was named Position Player of the Week and Ashley Nelson earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
 
Frerichs, who picked up Female Athlete of the Week honors, batted .556 in the A-R-C tournament. Frerichs brought in four runs, five hits, a triple, and a home run. Frerichs, a 2021 First Team All-Conference member, picks up her first career Softball Position Player of the Week honor.
 
Nelson started all three games of the A-R-C tournament, helping to lead the Knights to the NCAA Division III Tournament. Nelson pitched 16.1 innings over the tournament, allowing three runs on 14 hits and eight strikeouts. Nelson recorded two complete games and one shutout over the weekend as she picks up her second career Softball Pitcher of the Week honor.
