DUBUQUE, Iowa – Wartburg women's lacrosse fell to Clarke University 13-7 on the road Friday, Mar. 24. The Knights are now 1-6 overall and have not started conference play.
 
Game Summary

• First Period
  • Neither team scored until 7:44 left in the first, when Clarke got on the board first
  • After trailing 3-0 early, Wartburg scored with 1:12 left in the first with a goal from Lindsay Langford with an assist from Britta Solheim
  • Score was 3-1 Clarke after one period
• Second Period
  • The Knights allowed four goals early in the second period and fell behind 7-1
  • Wartburg scored the final goal of the half when Langford scored again with another assist from Solheim
  • 7-2 Clarke at halftime
• Third Period
  • Clarke scored the first two goals of the third to take a 9-2 lead
  • Selma Kleinsmith and Solheim both scored unassisted to make the score 11-4
  • The Knights closed the third with goals from Langford and Beka Gershenoff to bring the score to 11-6 after three periods

  • Clarke answered with an early goal in the fourth to make it 12-6
  • Solheim scored another goal, but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback
