WAVERLY, Iowa -- In the programs' first-ever meeting, the No. 16-ranked Wartburg College women's wrestling team improved to 3-0 on the season with a dominant 40-3 victory over Augustana (Ill.) College on Senior Night, winning all 10 bouts in decisive fashion. 

The Knights set the tone early at 103 pounds, as Chloe Sheffield controlled the match from start to finish in an 11-3 decision over Mia Vazquez. Wartburg continued to build momentum at 110, where Afftynn Stusse needed just 1:58 to record a 10-0 technical fall against Jo Orozco. 

The quick starts kept coming at 117 pounds, with Gable Hemann closing out the bout in a hurry by pinning Meredith Gumz just 35 seconds in. At 124, Leah Chandler extended the Knights' lead with a composed 7-2 decision over Hannah Suboni-Kaufman. 

Wartburg's depth shined through the middle weights, beginning with Mackenzie Childers' 10-0 technical fall over Moni Griffin at 131 pounds. Kylie Rule followed at 138 with a 12-1 technical fall of Bri Bynum in just over two minutes, while Aniyah Kelly capped the stretch at 145 with a 10-0 technical fall over Aine Moffit late in the bout. 

At 160 pounds, May Prado delivered a strong performance, securing a 5-0 decision over Maryam Ndiaye through consistent control and positioning. Izzy Strickert added the ninth team victory at 180 pounds by forfeit.
 
The evening concluded in emphatic fashion at 207 pounds, as Rewa Chababo needed only 25 seconds to pin Aislan Leetch, sealing a commanding dual sweep for the Knights. 

In the exhibition bouts, Hope Chiatello pinned Gwen Burbridge in just 44 seconds, as Kaydence Boorn followed up with 10-0 tech fall victory. Rachel Fode took care of Lanie Cecala with a fall at 4:26.  
Augustana drops to 2-2 on the season.
