INDIANOLA, Iowa-- The No. 11 Wartburg women's wrestling team took second in the 10-team field with 128 points at the NCWWC Regionals Saturday. The Knights qualified eight for the NCWWC National Championships in two weeks.
Head Coach
Brady Kyner was named NWCA/NCWWC Regional Coach of the Year. This marked his first career honor and first in program history.
"What a day," expressed Kyner. "We as coaches are extremely proud of the way everyone competed today. We talk about our fight and effort everyday, and we saw the best versions of our women today. It's amazing how much all our women have grown throughout the year. I love the way this team goes to battle individually but even more, the way they fight and want their teammates to succeed! I'm excited to see the levels we jump in the next two weeks, to compete at our best at the NCWWC Championships!"
