CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Top-seeded Wartburg women's wrestling (7-1 overall) opened the 2026 NWCA Multi-Division National Duals with two commanding victories Friday at the UNI-Dome, advancing to Saturday's semifinal round.

The Knights began the day with a decisive 45-0 shutout of Albion University before securing a 36-11 win over No. 8 seed Eastern University in the quarterfinals.

Against Albion, Wartburg produced bonus points in nine of 10 bouts. Afftynn Stusse (110) ignited the lineup with a first-period pin, followed by a 42-second fall from Gable Hemann (117). Sophie Bowers (124), Mackenzie Childers (131), Alex Harswick (145), Hailie Krueger (160), and Erika Peterson (180) each recorded 10-0 technical falls. Rewa Chababo (207) punctuated the sweep with a fall in the opening minute, as the Knights did not concede a single team point.

Wartburg carried that momentum into the quarterfinals against Eastern, earning six bonus-point victories en route to a 36-11 decision. Chloe Sheffield (103) opened the dual with a fall in under two minutes, and Ava Gardner (110) followed with a 10-0 technical fall. Jasmine Luedtke (117) added a 9-4 decision before falls from Kylie Rule (138) and Aniyah Kelly (145) extended the lead. May Prado (160) posted a technical fall, while Chababo secured the final points via forfeit at 207.
