INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The No. 11-ranked Wartburg College women's wrestling team closed out the inaugural NCAA Region V Championships with a runner-up finish Saturday at Cowles Fieldhouse.
The Knights totaled 146 team points and advanced seven wrestlers to the NCAA Championships, set for March 6–7 in Coralville.
Rewa Chababo highlighted the day by capturing the regional title at 207 pounds.

At 103 pounds,
Chloe Sheffield battled through a challenging bracket, rebounding from a semifinal setback with a 12-1 technical fall victory over Mia Vazquez (Augustana) in the consolation semifinals. Sheffield placed fourth in the division, contributing 12.5 team points.
Afftynn Stusse advanced to the championship bout at 110 pounds following a decision win in the semifinals, finishing as the regional runner-up after falling to Nyla Valencia of University of Iowa. Stusse accumulated 16 team points over the weekend, posting a pair of technical falls and a decision.
Gable Hemann delivered a strong 4-1 performance at 117 pounds, earning a third-place finish with two technical falls, a fall, and a decision. After an early setback to Iowa's Brianna Gonzalez, Hemann rallied with consecutive victories to secure a national qualifying spot, adding 16.5 team points.
Sophie Bowers put together a dominant run at 124 pounds. After a quarterfinal loss, Bowers responded with four consecutive victories—including three technical falls—to claim third place through the consolation bracket. She finished the regional 5-1 and tallied 17 team points.
At 131 pounds, Mackenzie Childers rebounded from an early loss with back-to-back bonus-point victories over Kendra Bliss (Simpson) and Moni Griffin (Augustana). Childers pinned Griffin at the 1:59 mark in the third-place match, securing a berth to nationals while scoring 19 team points—the second-most on the team.
Kylie Rule reached the finals at 138 pounds after a semifinal technical fall over Aine Moffit (Augustana), finishing as the regional runner-up following a 6-0 decision in the championship bout. Rule totaled 18.5 team points, with her lone loss coming in the title match.
Aniyah Kelly claimed third place at 145 pounds, bouncing back from a semifinal loss with two decision victories in the consolation rounds. Kelly won three of her four matches by decision, opening the tournament with a fall.
May Prado placed fourth at 160 pounds, recording a technical fall over Olivia Cotton (Cornell) in the consolation semifinals before falling in the third-place match to Keeley Kehrli (Simpson). Prado contributed 13 team points.
Rewa Chababo capped the tournament as Wartburg's lone regional champion at 207 pounds, going a perfect 4-0 with two technical falls, a fall, and a decision in the championship bout. Chababo claimed the title with a 4-1 decision over No. 2-ranked Katja Osteen (Iowa), earning her spot at the national championships.
