ST. LOUIS, Missouri- The Wartburg men's and women's track and field teams concluded their weekend of competition at the WashU Invite. The Knights won six events on day two of the WashU Invite.
 
Trent Polley (Javelin Throw), JoJo Tyynismaa (400m Hurdles, 100m Hurdles), Ema Roberts (High Jump), Samantha Nielsen (Javelin Throw), and Abby Veld (discus) earned event wins.

FIELD EVENTS
(W) High Jump: The Knights had the top two finishers in the event. Ema Roberts was victorious with a 1.69m 5-06.50 mark, which ties for fifth on the program's top 10 list. Roberts stands second on the TFRRS list for this season. Samantha Nielsen was the runner-up with a 1.61m 5-03.25 mark, which ties for 18^th on the TFRRS list for this season.
 
(M) Triple Jump: Jayden Maten put together a top three finish with a 14.20m 46-07.25 mark, which ranks sixth on the program's top 10 list. Maten stands 11^th on the TFRRS list for this season.
 
(M) Javelin Throw: Trent Polley earned the event victory with a 61.09m 200-05.00, which stands 11^th on the TFRRS list for this season. Mitchell Darst (31.65m 103-10.00) and Seneca Molstre (31.05m 101-10.00) were the next top performers for the Knights.
 
(W) Javelin Throw: Samantha Nielsen was victorious with a 40.70m 133-06.00 mark, which ranks third on the program's top 10 list. Nielsen stands ninth on the TFRRS list for this season. Caitlin Benesh (31.42m 103-01.00) and Lydia Kriegel (29.67m 97-04.00) finished eighth and ninth place, respectively.
 
(M) Discus: Carson Luense earned a top three finish with a 40.96m 134-04.00 mark. Eli Keahna finished in eighth place with a 39.42m 129-04.00 mark and Will Evans finished with a 38.17m 125-02.00 mark.
 
(W) Discus: Abby Veld won the event with a 45.56m 149-05.00 mark, which stands third on the TFRRS list for this season. Lydia Kriegel (38.44m 126-01.00) placed sixth. Addison Phillips (32.50m 106-07.00) and Olivia Rowedder (31.77m 104-02.00) followed.
 
RUNNING EVENTS
(M) 400m Hurdles: The Knights had two top five finishers. Seneca Molstre finished in the top three with a time of 54.53, which stands 12^th on the TFRRS list for this season. Weston Johnson finished in the top five with a time of 55.74.
 
(W) 400m Hurdles: JoJo Tyynismaa was victorious in the event with a time of 1:00.24, which stands first on the TFRRS list for this season.
 
(M) 400m: Alex Kerr earned a top five finish with a time of 49.25, which ranks seventh on the program's top 10 list.
 
(W) 400m: Olivia Tollari was the top finisher for the Knights with a time of 58.09.
 
(M) 200m: AJ Wright earned a top three finish with a time of 21.35, which ranks fourth on the program's top 10 list. Wright ties for sixth on the TFRRS list for this season.
 
(W) 200m: Adalyn Sporleder (26.45) had the fastest time to lead the Knights in the event.
 
(M) 110m Hurdles: The Knights had two top five finishers. Austin Rindels (15.40) finished fourth and Weston Johnson (15.51) finished fifth.
 
(W) 100m Hurdles: JoJo Tyynismaa won the event with a time of 14.56, which stands seventh on the TFRRS list for this season. Grace Braden placed fourth with a time of 14.63, which stands 10^th on the TFRRS list for this season.
 
(M) 100m: Zander White was the top performer in the event for the Knights with a time of 11.19.
 
(W) 100m: Amanda Davis led the Knights in the event with a time of 12.83.
 
RUNNING EVENTS
(M) 4x400m: The Knights were represented by Jeffrey Oestreicher, Jordan Cleaves, Alex Kerr, and Jimmy Weispfenning. The Knights finished in fourth place with a time of 3:20.76.
 
(W) 4x400m: The Knights were represented by Olivia Tollari, Leah Cherry, Hannah Ramsey, and Natalie Bork. The Knights finished with a time of 3:56.22, which stands 12^th on the TFRRS list for this season.
 
(M) 4x100m: The Knights were represented by AJ Wright, Jordan Cleaves, Jimmy Weispfenning, and Alex Kerr. They earned a second place finish with a time of 40.93, which ranks fourth on the program's top 10 list. They stand second on the TFRRS list for this season. The next top relay team for the Knights put together a top five finish with a time of 41.87. They were represented by David Williams, Jeffrey Oestreicher, Aidan Gruver, and Noah Schmidgall.
 
(W) 4x100m: The Knights were represented by Olivia Tollari, JoJo Tyynismaa, Adalyn Sporleder, and Anna Curtis. They finished with a time of 47.09, which stands 10^th on the TFRRS list for this season.
