Reiter Extends Point Streak in Draw with St. Olaf

Box Score
NORTHFIELD, Minn.-- The No. 23 Wartburg women's soccer team (5-1-2 overall) drew a 1-1 double overtime tie with non-conference opponent St. Olaf (4-2-1) Tuesday afternoon. This marked the second game to reach double overtime this season.

Junior Lauren Bauer (LaPorte City) connected on a pass from senior Cathy Reiter (Buckingham) to give the Knights the early 1-0 lead at 8:04.

With her assist, Reiter extended her point-streak to six games.

This remained the score through the first half until the Oles scored at 49:13 to knot the game at one all.

Neither team was able to score throughout the rest of regulation, to send the game into overtime.

Wartburg outshot St. Olaf 4-2 in both extra sessions, but no team was able to capitalize to end the game in a tie.

The Knights return to action Saturday when they host Dubuque at 1 p.m. to open the Iowa Conference portion of its schedule.
