WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's soccer team opened its 2013 campaign with a 2-0 shutout over St. Olaf Friday night.

Freshman Taylor Woods (Waukee) netted her first collegiate goal in the 22nd minute to give the Knights the early lead. Sophomore Brittany Frush (La Porte City) was credited with the assist.

Junior Tia Hagy (Muscatine) sealed the win as she connected on a pass from classmate Brinkly Werkman (Marion) at 40:53.

Junior Katie Reinhardt (Waverly) recorded the shutout victory in the net.

The Orange and Black return to action Tuesday on the road against Augsburg in Minneapolis, Minn.
