NCWWC Championships next for women's wrestling

WAVERLY, Iowa-- The National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships are next for the Wartburg women's wrestling team. The competition will take place Friday, March 7-Saturday, March 8 at the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa.  320 female wrestlers will compete for the opportunity to be crowned a National Champion.

  • Luedtke and Kelly keep going back and forth with breaking the season record in falls. Kelly set the mark last season with 13.
  • Rule set the season record last year with 23 tech falls. She is approaching that total again this season.
  • Rule also set the season record in wins with 30 last year. Ortiz and Chababo are the closest entering this competition with 25 to date.
