The Knights are set to compete on May 8 (Fri) at the Wartburg Qualifier in Waverly and the Uncaged Eagle Open in La Crosse.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its week six national polls on Tuesday, May 5 with the men's team No. 7 and the women's team ranked No. 10.

The men's team has 168.48 total points and the women's team has 152.22 total points.

The Knights No. 10 ranked men's track and field team won their 14th Outdoor American Rivers Conference Championship (dating back to 1998) with 208 points and the Knights No. 11 ranked women's track and field team won their 26th Outdoor American Rivers Conference Championship (dating back to 1998) with 268 points. Head Coach Marcus Newsom and the Wartburg staff took home coaching staff of the year honors for the 22nd time on the women's side and 12th on the men's – 34 total.
 
AJ Wright won the most valuable track performer for the first time in his career, JoJo Tyynismaa won the most valuable track performer for the first time in her outdoor career, and Abby Veld won the most valuable field performer for the first time in her career.
 
In addition, the Knights have completed the season sweep by winning every conference title this season. The Knights last won the women's indoor, women's outdoor, men's indoor, and men's outdoor title in 2014.

Lance Sobaski (3000m steeplechase), Caitlin Benesh (heptathlon), Ema Roberts (high jump), Olivia Tollari (long jump), Abby Veld (shot put), and Morgan Engel (10000m) were named conference champions on Friday
 
Additionally, JoJo Tyynismaa put together a historic performance in the prelims of the 100m dash by breaking the program record.

Trent Polley (javelin throw), Hutton Edney (800m), AJ Wright (200m, 100m), the 4x400m relay team (Jeffrey OestreicherCade OlsonAlex KerrHutton Edney), and the men's 4x100m relay team (AJ WrightJordan CleavesNoah SchmidgallAlex Kerr) were named conference champions today on the men's side on Saturday.
 
Grace Braden (400m hurdles), JoJo Tyynismaa (200m, 100m hurdles, 100m), the women's 4x400m relay team (Olivia TollariNatalie BorkHaley MeyerJoJo Tyynismaa) and the women's 4x100m relay team (Aly StahleGrace BradenOlivia TollariJoJo Tyynismaa) were named conference champions today on the women's side on Saturday
 
AJ Wright broke the program record in the 200m dash and JoJo Tyynismaa broke her second program record of the weekend in the 100m hurdles.

Wartburg College senior JoJo Tyynismaa, sophomore Abby Veld, and sophomore AJ Wright have earned A-R-C weekly honors, the league announced Monday.

This is Tyynismaa's seventh career A-R-C weekly honor, Veld's third career A-R-C weekly honor, and Wright's second career A-R-C weekly honor.
