Bart Mehlert ’04
Mehlert was a two-year member of the wrestling team and a two-time All-American, which included winning the national championship at 149 pounds in 2004. He was also a two-time Iowa Conference champion. Mehlert has a career record at Wartburg of 69-4, with five major decisions, six tech falls, and 10 falls. He was a member of the 2003 and 2004 national championship teams and two Iowa Conference championship teams. Mehlert is an estimator at Personified Inc. and is the head wrestling coach at Union High School in La Porte City. He lives in La Porte City with his wife, Lisa, and their three children.
