Scott Becker ’83

A four-year letterman for the Wartburg wrestling program from 1980 to 1983, Becker was a four-time national qualifier and won Iowa Conference championships in 1981 and 1983 for the late Dr. Dick Walker's squads. His high-water mark at nationals was fourth place in 1983, earning him All-American honors. Becker never lost a match in IIAC dual competition. He lost only two matches in league tournament competition and lost only one match at home due to an injury. He won the Gregorian Award at the 1983 national championships for the most falls in the least time. Becker lives in Gilbertville and is a loan officer at Farmers State Bank.
