Jennifer “Donohue” Talbott ’01
Talbott was a four-year member of the volleyball and women’s basketball teams and a three-year member on the women’s track and field team. In volleyball, she ranks second on the program’s list of career leaders in attack percentage (.261) and sixth in kills with 1,302. She was a Second-team Lutheran Brotherhood All-American her senior year, a three-time Verizon Academic All-American, two-time All-Conference honoree and an AVCA All-Region selection. In basketball, she played on the 2000-01 of Iowa Conference Championship teams which advanced to the Elite Eight. She finished her career with 934 points and 418 rebounds and was nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year award. On the track, Talbott was a GTE Academic All-American her senior year, as well as a CoSIDA Verizon Academic All-American. At the time of her graduation, she held school records in the 100m hurdles, 4x200m relay and shuttle hurdle relay. Talbott resides in Ames and is a Health Care Administration Executive Director for Regional Operations at McFarland Clinic.
