Britlyn (Sieck) Franzen, a 2013 graduate, was a four-year member of the track and field and volleyball programs. On the court, she was an Honorable Mention All-America selection, three-time Honorable Mention All-Region player, a First-team All-Region honoree and a four-time First-team All-Conference selection. Sieck earned two Academic All-Conference honors and two First-team College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) Academic All-District awards. She ranks in the top 10 of four career categories, which includes second in kills (1,828). Wartburg won the 2010 conference tournament and swept the 2012 conference championships to qualify for the NCAA Tournament in both seasons. Sieck was a thrower and is a four-time All-American-- three for shot put and one for discus. The Knights won four-straight indoor and outdoor Conference Championships, the 2012 indoor and outdoor national championships and the 2013 outdoor national championships. The 2012 teams set the all-time points record at both championships. Sieck earned three Academic All-Conference honors and four United Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors for track and field. She is a probation and parole officer with the Iowa Department of Correctional Services. She lives in Wadena, Iowa, with her husband, Josh, and their three children.
