Zachary (Zac) Weiglein ’00

Weiglein was a four-year member of the wrestling team and the 1999 and 2000 NCAA champion at 125 pounds. He posted 99 career wins, was a three-time All-American, and three-time Iowa Conference champion (1998 at 118 pounds and 1999 and 2000 at 125 pounds). His wins helped his team earn Iowa Conference championships in 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000 and the NCAA national championship in 1999. Weiglein was inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2008. The John Deere mold and melt operations manager and his wife, Jacki, live in Cedar Falls.
