Bose is best remembered for his successes in football and track and field. He was a running back and kick returner in football and was a member of the Iowa Conference runner-up squad in 1954.
In track and field, Bose was a three-time conference champion in the 120-yard high hurdles and won the 220-yard low hurdles once. He was also named the track and field team captain in 1956 and 1958. He is a retired FBI agent and lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
