He was a four-year member of the football and track teams. He was a seven-time All-American and still holds seven school records. Joseph was the 2001 Iowa Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships MVP and earned All-Conference honors all four years. He won the 2001 NCAA Division III outdoor 400-meter hurdles — the first male national champion in program history. Joseph, who lives in Des Moines, is a material damage specialist and the hurdles coach for Grand View University.
