Smoldt was a multi-time letterwinner in football and men’s track and field. He was named All-American at offensive tackle in 1982. During his four years, the football team achieved three winning seasons under coach Don Canfield. Smoldt’s track career included two fifth-place finishes at the conference meet in 1983. He is a controller for Commercial Door Systems, Inc., in Buffalo. He and his wife, Cathy, are actively involved in the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, where Brad serves as president.
