Malecek was a four-time letterwinner in volleyball and women's basketball during her collegiate career. She averaged better than 10 points per game and is a member of the women's basketball 1,000-point club as part of two first team all-Iowa Conference honors and being a two-time team Most Valuable Player. On the volleyball court, she was a two-time all-IIAC honoree and finished with 835 kills while playing for four 20-plus win teams. She now lives in Onalaska as a homemaker.
