Grawe was a three-year member of the men's golf and basketball teams. He was the Iowa Conference individual medalist and subsequent MVP in 1971 and a member of the two-time Iowa Conference Champion men's golf teams. Grawe was the basketball team's leading scorer in the 1970-71 season with 406 points. He was a Second-team All-Conference selection and a member of the three-time Iowa Conference Championship teams. He lives in Waverly and has two grown children.
