Gary Grace was the vice president for administration at Wartburg from 2004 to 2013, and previously served as the first full-time athletic director from 1996 to 2004. The Knights won the conference men's All-Sports trophy every year from 1997 to 2004, the women's All-Sports trophy from 2001 to 2003, and the combined All-Sports trophy from 2002 to 2004. Grace was instrumental in the early phases of Wartburg's athletic dominance over the last 20 years and played a key part in the Wartburg-Waverly Sports & Wellness Center project. Grace retired from Wartburg in 2013 and now owns seven Jimmy John's franchise locations. He lives in Waverly with his wife, Janet.
