Another gridiron standout, he was a first-team all-American in 1991 and earned first-team all-Iowa Conference awards in 1990 and 1991 as a member of the offensive line. The four-year starter also was voted a team captain in 1991. He and his linemates saw plenty of success in their careers blocking for three 1,000-yard rushers.  He is now working in sales for Pepsi Beverage Co.
