Hall of Fame
Wachholz was a four-year starting outfielder on the baseball team. He was a two-time First-team All-Conference selection, Second-team All-Conference honoree, and First-team All-Region awardee his senior year. Wachholz led the Iowa Conference in batting average in two seasons. He is second on the career leader list in games played and runs scored and also ranks in the top 10 of seven other categories. Wachholz was a member of the teams that started the string of 12 straight Iowa Conference Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances for Wartburg. He is the dean of students for the Oshkosh Area School District and lives in Oshkosh, Wis., with his wife, Kimberly, and two daughters.
