Mark Hargrafen ’99
Hargrafen was a four-year member of the football team and was named a first-team All-Conference selection on both the defensive and offensive lines. The 1998 Football Gazette All-American (offensive line) earned a master’s degree in criminology and was appointed by Gov. Terry Branstad to speak in Washington, D.C., as an advocate for disabled children. Hargrafen, his wife, Kate Gammell Hargrafen ’00, and their children, Barron and Rocco, live in Grimes, where he is an inpatient nursing manager and critical care unit service manager at ChildServe.
